Family Fare: began in February 1986 when Ann Rose, then local editor of the Advance-Leader asked Cyndi to prepare a food column for the local weekly paper. That column was called the "Cook's Tour" and reflected what both Cyndi and Ann agreed on: an article that reflected not only recipes and food trends, but the relational side of eating -- people, families, traditions. It was an instant hit and found its imitators. In 1991, the article became "Family Fare" and continues to please people north and south, east and west, as the weekly paper makes its way to subscribers. |
