Battle Of Bushy Run Pennsylvania

If you are interested in aerial photos of a possible site, check out: http://terraserver.microsoft.com. This site contains aerial photos of most of the US. These photos can be very useful. Things look somewhat different from the air and you will see things that a Topo map would not show. The photos are in black and white.

To Use Terraserver

Click http://terraserver.microsoft.com

On the opening page click on "Advanced Find". On this page you can enter a "place name" and State. You can also select a "place type search" much like the USGS site. You can also select a location by longitude and latitude.

For example: in place name I will enter "apollo" and for state"pennsylvania".

After you enter your desired site, click the "Go" button. The next page will be the list of available images. In my case, where I entered "apollo" and "pennsylvania", I have two results: A USGS aerial photo from 1993 and a
USGS Topographical Map (like TopoZone).
Aerial photos can also be used with a GPS and GIS software such as OziExplorer.
I have for sale CDROMS of aerial photos of Pennsylvania. Check here.

Click on the image link you want to display. This will open a new page with your selected image. You can select Small, Medium or Large display, as well as zoom in on the image. You can now print the page to save it or right click on the image and save it to you computer. When saving the photo image, make sure it ends in .jpg. You can click on the "Topo" button under "Style" to get a topo map of this area.
