Pennsylvania's Lottery is unique because its proceeds can only be used to fund programs for older persons and the major programs are:

  • Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly (PACE) which helps pay for prescribed medicines for Pennsylvania residents 65 years of age or older. Income guidelines required.
  • Rent and Property Tax Rebates - reimbursements up to $500.00 annually, to persons whose income is less than $15,000.00 per household, who are 65 years of age or older, widows and widowers over the age of 50, and permanently disabled people age 18 and over.
Applications for PACE, property tax and rent rebates, which must be filed each year, can be obtained at Area Agencies on Aging, senior centers, legislators' offices, and the Department of Aging in Harrisburg. PACE applications are also available at most pharmacies. Contact your local Area Agency on Aging for more information on these programs.
