Welcome!
our mission as the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood is
to love God, to love each other and to love our neighbors.
| What does church mean to you? How do you make a difference in a world filled with hate, pride, greed, and selfishness? How do you find comfort in times of trouble?
At First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood, we are trying to figure that out every day… We live in a constantly changing world. It is more and more difficult to figure out how to live a Christian life amidst all of the pressures to "be yourself" and to "control your own destiny." We at FPCE know that you don't have to be alone in this world - that there is someone along for the ride who wants to help, but is just waiting to be asked. We don't claim to have all of the answers to life's problems, but we know who does, and we are in constant conversation with God in everything that we do…worship services, bible studies, picnics, festivals, movie nights, musical concerts, mission outreach projects. Jesus said "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20). We take that charge very seriously through many different ministries and programs at Edgewood.
We have a place for you, too. All are welcome to any of our events, and we offer two worship services to meet, strengthen, and challenge your faith. Sunday Mornings: our traditional service, held in the sanctuary at 11AM (10AM in the Summer).
Please know there is a place for you in the fellowship of this "Community Church." We invite you to come get acquainted, and to become a part of an active, working church which provides enriching opportunities for people in every walk of life.

And we have fun together, too! A Strawberry festival, a Cinco de Mayo Mexican fiesta, a top-notch Recital Series, Homecoming picnic, dinners, beach trips, and more make up the life of this warm and friendly congregation.
Wednesday Nights: "The Edge" - a small, relaxed time to laugh, to share joys and concerns, to sing praise songs together, and to have discussions about things like what it means to be Presbyterian, how to have a better prayer life, or simply Bible studies in small groups. Held at 7 PM in the Gathering Place. (This evening meeting goes on break for the summers.)
