Who We Are

The Church Family of McMasters United Methodist Church would like to welcome you to our church home page. We're glad you are here and we want to let you know the many opportunities we have for you to get involved in.

OUR VISION

For the sake of transforming the world through Jesus Christ, the vision of the McMasters United Methodist Church is:

For each member to become a disciple who will go and make disciples through



WE ARE A FRIENDLY CHURCH:

You'll enjoy the earnest welcome, the friendly atmosphere and the sincere interest shown in you.



WE ARE A SCRIPTURAL CHURCH:

We proclaim the whole Word of God and provide a preaching, teaching, and pastoral ministry.



WE ARE AN EDUCATIONAL CHURCH:

We have classes for all ages. A Nursery is available during the school year. We participate in a cooperative Community Vacation Bible School and we conduct Bible Studies throughout the year. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m.



WE ARE A MISSION-MINDED CHURCH:

We participate in local mission projects such as the Food Bank and WomansPlace. We prepare a Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner. We are looking to expand our mission outreach. Our United Methodist Women (a mission organization) are among the best units in the district.



WE ARE A CARING CHURCH:

We have a Care Team which is made up of church members willing to volunteer a helping hand in time of need. (This includes meals, rides, repairs, and other needs which can arise.)



WE ARE A GROWING CHURCH:

We have a growing group of families who are learning and growing spiritually together. We are planning services that will equip our Church to enter the 21st century as a strong and noble beacon to God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ and power through the Holy Spirit.



WE ARE A PRAYER-CONDITIONED CHURCH:

We have two prayer groups, a prayer book, and a prayer chain to receive and pray for people's needs.



WE ARE AN HOSPITABLE CHURCH:

We love to eat and we have the best cooks who serve meals for all occasions.



WE ARE A MUSICAL CHURCH:

We have an adult choir, a childrens choir and a singing group called the "New Life Singers." Choir practice on Thursdays is at 7:00 p.m. from September-May. Junior Choir practices before Sunday School. We have special music in the summer.



WE ARE A FAMILY CHURCH:

We offer activities for every member of the family.
